Swipe to hear the invidual layers >>>>>>>>> I actually made this a while ago, but forgot to upload it, ehhheh, so anyways, here it is!!! Now that I listen to it again, I hear a lot of things in it that I'm not too satisfied with. But I guess the point isn't to show off something great, but instead to show how it was made. At least that's what I find interesting about these kinds of sound design breakdowns. I had a rule for this project: Every sound "event" should have its own track, either as a subproject or a folder track, to imitate and practice the workflow of producing sound assets for a game. That is one of the things I really love about REAPER, and why it's so good for game audio: you can just put each sound into a folder or a subproject, and make these insane structures of hundreds of tracks while still keeping things organized. Joined a game jam with some friends last weekend, Joined a game jam with some friends last weekend, and made a game where you steer a quad-copter and a crane, on a quest to steal picnics from the mole-people... The theme at Create Jam was "A Picnic" with the aesthetic theme "Cottagecore". It's been a lot of fun doing different sketches for the dash and crystal sounds. I've gone back and forth quite a bit on the design of the crystals breaking, and this is what I've got so far. It should sound like the dash is being recharged, but I'm not sure I'm feeling it yet. So let me know what you think! Sound Redesign (WIP): Celeste Here's some quick s Sound Redesign (WIP): Celeste Here's some quick sound sketches I made. When I get the time I'll post the rest of the redesign! Some of the audio got a little glitched out towards the end, because OBS actually recorded the sound twice, lol. I can record REAPER sound into OBS via ReaRoute or ReaStream, but in the Dash-subproject I accidentally used both methods, resulting in two simultaneous audio streams creating the phase glitch you can hear by the end of this clip.
